Meanwhile, when she went to Delhi recently to shoot for Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang along with the hunk, Delhi police co-operated with the team of Bang Bang by giving permissions and blocking off a highway to facilitate the shoot. The two had to do some gravity-defying stunts at the flyover near the Mayur Vihar Extension Metro station.
Navmeet Singh, the line producer of the movie, says, “The shooting would not have been possible without the help of the Delhi Police and the Delhi Traffic Police. They helped us throughout the shooting. When we first approached the SHO for permission, it was denied. It was only after calls from the senior cops that we were allowed to shoot. Permission was just a small part of the shooting. They (the DTP) even blocked the highway for the shoot.”
Mandeep Singh Randhawa, additional deputy commissioner of police (East), says, “It was a big project and the traffic police played a big role. I think it was an action movie. They (the film crew) wanted to shoot a big action scene which plays a very crucial part in the film. Humara kaam toh bas law and order maintain karna tha. We ensured that neither the public nor the crew faced any problems. We deployed some 30-40 cops for this.”
