KATHMANDU, June 5: A hearing on the writ petition filed at Supreme Court(SC) on Sunday demanding for the scrapping of Election Commission’s decision to hold re-election in Ward 19 of Bharatpur Metropolis is underway under a single bench of Supreme Court Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabara.
Lawyer Tulsi Ram Pandey on Sunday filed a writ petition at Supreme Court demanding that the decision made by Election Commission on Saturday to conduct re-election in Ward 19 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City be annuled.
CPN-UML has accused the EC of making the decision in favor of the CPN(Maoist Center) myoral candidate and daughter of outgoing Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
