Ajay Devgn has reportedly replaced Shahrukh Khan in the upcoming ambitious project Bajirao Mastan by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Bhansali, whose last film Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela became a massive hit, has been wanting to make a film on the legendary Maratha warrior Bajirao Mastan for a long time now; back when Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was made and he wanted the film’s lead pair Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai to play the lead roles in Bajirao Mastan but the film-maker’s dreams were shattered when Sallu and Ash broke up nastily.
Later, buzz was that Shahrukh Khan would play the lead role but now, Ajay Devgn has been finalised to play the role. Reportedly, Ajay fits the part of the Maratha general perfectly. Ram Leela heroine Deepika Padukone is rumored to play the female lead in this film.
Going by Deepika’s recent track record and Ajay’s acting prowess, we think Ajay-Deepika pair will be perfect for this film. What do you think folks?
