Bipasha Basu in director Siddharth Malhotra’s next

Four years after directing Karan Johar’s production We Are Family, the director Siddharth Malhotra is all set to make his debut as an independent producer. He is now planning on producing a film with Bapasha Basu in the leading role and the film is to be directed by the debutant Partho Mitra.

When approached Malhotra said, “Bipasha has expressed interest in the project. A final narration is still due but within the next few days, we will have a clearer picture.”

When asked whether he will not direct films anymore, he didn’t comment on it. However, a source says “His next directorial venture will be produced by Eros. Currently, he is working on a script which should be locked in a week’s time. By the end of March, the casting of his film will also be finalised.”
